Dr. Michael Tartaglia
Michael is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
Michael studied medicine at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. He moved to New Zealand two years after graduating from medical school. Michael started and completed his psychiatry training in Wellington. Since completing his training in 2014, Michael has worked as a psychiatrist for public mental health services and non-government organisations in New Zealand and Australia.
Michael’s expertise is in psychiatric assessment and treatment of the adult age group (18 to 65), and offers psychotherapy and professional supervision to clients throughout New Zealand.
Michael is registered to work as a therapist for New Zealand-based clients with an ACC sensitive claim, and is also registered to provide ACC-funded psychiatric assessment and treatment.
Michael is a Member of The EMDR Association of New Zealand (EMDRNZ), having completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Michael is currently training in the Conversational Model of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy with the Australia and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy.
Michael has completed training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Dr. Chris Garvie
Chris is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and is an Accredited Member of the RANZCP Faculty of Psychotherapy.
Originally from Scotland, Chris trained as a psychiatrist in Wellington. Prior to working in private practice Chris worked as a psychiatrist for public mental health services and non-government organisations throughout New Zealand and Australia.
Chris is a psychiatrist who specialises in psychotherapy, with a practice which focusses on psychotherapy and professional supervision with clients throughout New Zealand and Australia. Chris practices in Wellington CBD and online.
Chris is registered to work as a therapist for New Zealand-based clients with an ACC sensitive claim, and is also registered to provide ACC-funded psychiatric assessment and treatment.
Chris is a Clinical Member of the Australia and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy (ANZAP), having completed the three-year ANZAP training programme in the Conversational Model of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
Chris is an Accredited Practitioner in EMDR with The EMDR Association of New Zealand (EMDRNZ), having completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
